Congratulations Catherine and Jared!!

So we get back from Tenn. and there is this message from Catherine saying that she is getting married! Jared popped the question that weekend. I call her back and after playing a quick game of phone tag, she asks me "when are you open?". I love it when people ask me this!!! Anyway, we haven't booked them officially, but I am waiting for her call back. Congratulations again you guys!! This was from Kelly's wedding in April.

Tennessee and back again!!

We got back from Tennessee this afternoon and we had a great time. Michele and Harry had rented cabins for everyone in the wedding including us! I can't say enough nice things about Harry and Michele. This is what our cabin looked like. We got up this morning and this was the view from our cabin!! I love this job!!

And from the other side...

We all went for a drive yesterday on some dingy tiny one way road. We almost ran out of gas. I am not sure if a mountain rescue is covered under OnStar. Here is our car on that road. Dawn and Kristen are inside freaking out about the gas, I was too! On the way down the mountain, I coasted for most of it, kept running cars off the road. People can get so easily irritated when you almost force them off a mountain.

Then we went to a store called Winner's Circle to see our friend Lynn. She is such a trip. She says that every picture she is in, she has her mouth open. It's b/c she's never quiet! :-)

Later, we trekked it over to Cade's Cove and drove around in there. Saw a bear, that was pretty cool!

Check out the views!!

Now we have 2 days in the office and we are back on the road again!! We are trying to get to all e-mails and phone calls in the order that we got them, please excuse our delay. We love everybody!!

Ashley and Mark in Baxley, Ga (wherever that is?)

So Ashley and Mark got married in Baxley, GA on August 12. I am trying to catch up, I swear, I am almost there. Which is good, because we have 2 more weddings next weekend! Here are a few images from Ashley’s wedding. This was a very short wedding by our standards, I think we were there maybe 5 hours, but we had a great time!

Here is Stacey trying to get Ashley ready

She was at her best when she didn’t think I was watching. Not saying that she was bad if she knew I was watching, but…nevermind.

More blogging to come, I promise.

Crazy weekend...crazier ones to come!

Ok, ok it's been crazy and it looks like it is going to just get busier. We thought that we were going to have an off season, but in the last few days I've come to realize that it is not going to happen. We spent the entire weekend interviewing and managed to get a wedding in there too! We collapsed early Monday with 3 newly booked weddings that we are very excited about. One is for Mandy Koch at Primrose Cottage, I can't wait, the next one we booked on Sunday for Elizabeth Stricklin. Her wedding will be at the Beachview Club on Jekyll Island!! The next one we booked is for Carrie Sears, I love her whole family! I got the phone call as we were headed to Maggiano's in Buckhead! By the way, this is a fantastic restaurant. I had to drop Dawn off at the door as I parked the car in the rain. She wouldn't let me Valet Park our car.

So here we are abou to leave again. Tomorrow we leave for Townsend, TN to shoot Michele and Harry's wedding at Heritage Park! We will be coming back on Monday. Dawn says she feels like she is living out of a suitcase, I can sympathise with her, but I love what we are doing. I know this will sound corny, but I feel like I am living a dream. I am so worried that I am going to wake up in a small apartment in Camilla, GA getting ready to go back to the same school, and the same classroom for year after year. I can't say enough how much I love this passion of mine.

Thank you everyone who has been a part of my dream!

A little out of order...

Just a little out of order, but I am trying. Here's a few shots from Jessica and Victor's engagement session that I shot on the 15th. They are going to be fun and their wedding's in just a few weeks on September 9th!

It's not your grandparents car...

...It's ours!! AND IT'S DAMN COOL! We sadly said godbye to our Jeep Grand Cherokee today and welcomed home our brand new 2007 Cadillac CTS. We are so excited, it is our first brand new car that we have ever bought and it's all ours. Initially, I wanted to surprise Dawn with a brand new car, but as usual I can never keep a secret. We picked it up this morning. I think my Grandpa would have liked it, he always liked Cadillacs.

Michele is a trip!

I promised her I would do this a few days ago. I am such a bad friend. This was such a fun session, I can only imagine how much fun we are going to have for the wedding!!

A quick shot of the back of her dress.
This was almost as much fun getting her in this position as it was taking the picture!
I love her daughter!
For the GRAND FINALE - THE SPRINKLERS!!!!!!!

We will be heading to Townsend, TN for Michele's wedding to Harry! It's going to be a good time! We are still talking about the sprinklers to people. In fact, I was so excited about it, I kept showing everyone that came by the office the pictures.

Blogging in Honey Baked Ham about Katie and Chris

So there has been a lot going on today which I will discuss later. I needed a break so now that I have a super laptop I can get away from the office and go work somewhere else. That is what I have been doing.

Last week, we shot Katie and Chris' engagements in downtown Atlanta. It was a lot of fun, but Katie was a little nervous. It was the first time I had ever met Chris so I was a little nervous, too! Their wedding is right around the corner on September 30 and we are really looking forward to it!

As we are getting started

Hanging out in an unnamed coffee shop!

Playing by a fountain, what you can't see is all the crap that was floating in it.

At the Ritz-Carlton downtown, avoiding the freakin heat! Can't wait for the wedding, you guys!

Amy and TJ

Another long period of not having any posts. We have been on the road for almost an entire month and there have been places we have been able to post from and there were places where we couldn't, but we are back, at least until the end of August when we will be back on the road again.

Here is Amy Peace, we shot her sister Amy's wedding in '04. I had been looking forward to this ever since I met her when she came to talk to us about her sister's wedding. I was so excited when we finally got the call from her saying that she was getting married, the next words out of her mouth, "When are you open?"!!! I love this family!

I could have turned this into an all - Amy post, but I didn't want to hurt TJ's feelings.

Here we are playing with one of our new toys! I love this thing. I finally went out and bought a video light.

TJ's reaction when he saw Amy for the first time.
Just fun and relaxed. No stiff poses or fake smiles. Just the way I like it!Playing around with Amy right before the ceremony.
The flower girl was playing with her flowers during the ceremony, wasn't she cute? Bride's bouquet on the bar.

On the golf course at sunset!

In St. Augustine with Emily and Zach

Last week I went down to St. Augustine Fl. with Emily and Zach for a sunrise session. I was real freakin' tired but it was worth it. I love destination sessions because it gives you a chance to get out and go somewhere and have a blast doing it! We had a great time, except for the flying bugs that kept biting Emily.

Here we are at Sunrise
