What inspires me is ....

I wanted to do something a bit different this time.  I wanted to show one of the images that inspired me to take pictures.  This is one of my favorite images of all time and it is so strong and moving.  The first time I saw this was when I was in band in high school and we watched a presentation on Tiananmen Square, this was the last image in that moving presentation.

Jeff Widener (born August 111956) in Long Beach, CA is the Associated Press photojournalist who took the world-famous picture of "The Unknown Rebel" in 1989 during the Tiananmen Square Protests. The photo depicts a lone protester who halted a column of advancing tanks for more than half an hour.[1]

Widener took the photo from the sixth floor of the Beijing Hotel, about half a mile away, through a 400mm lens. He was subsequently nominated for the 1990 Pulitzer Prize for "Spot News Photography".

As of 2004, Widener is a staff photographer for the Honolulu Advertiser[2]

Widener has won numerous awards from the local Society of Professional Journalists and won second place for a pictorial in the 2004 National Press Photographers Association awards.[3]

More from the Chateau!

I wanted to be able to show off a little more from the marketing campaign that we did. I felt like there was so much to do and I was only able to scratch the surface for this shoot. I wish I could have spent a month there, but I just couldn't. I couldn't give up my weddings though!

K.C. made an awesome model and a willing participant to our little experiment.

Teal

Wendy and Beau Part 1, Asbury Park, NJ

There were just too many great images to do this wedding justice!  Beau and Wendy were married at Asbury Park in New Jersey in May of this year.  We had a great time and this time, Kristen got to go.  We are so privileged to call the Nicholson's our friends even though they are more like our family!

Jesse and Brandon playing the Wii.
Sam at the hotel doing the makeup.
Guys playing pool at the house.
I love this, this is so cool.

The always expressive Tabby cat.

A message from Beau
No comment, :-)

I got to wear this hat at the wedding.  Wendy and Beau had a 1950's Hollywood theme wedding and my hat says Press on it, how cool!

It's hard to imagine all the personality that a wedding can bring out, although for some it is easier than others.

It was very cold on the coast, hard to imagine for Georgia
I love this one too.

Part 2 to come.
