WPJA Results, we won!!!!! 1st place worldwide!!

It's true, we took a 1st place in the Trash the Dress category for the picture underneath!! We are so excited, this is so awesome.

JUDGES COMMENTS: Wow. What a beautiful, ethereal photograph. A lot of the images in this category are just too campy, too staged, but this one is beautiful in its simplicity, use of light to convey mood and its evocativeness.

JUDGES COMMENTS: I like the photographer’s poetic mood of this underwater photo of the Bride.

We also took 10th place in the same category with this image. 2 out of the top ten images were ours. Check them out at WPJA, under recent results for the contest.

JUDGES COMMENTS: I like the high key detail of this photograph of the bride's face, hair and dirty dress.

JUDGES COMMENTS: The texture and expression of the bride made this image stand out. Simple but done well.

Patrick Fender at the Gaylord Palms

We headed down to Orlando for a portrait session with Patrick. He is the son of our friends Pehn and Tracy. I have been friends with Pehn ever since we were in Kindergarten!! We were there right after Patrick was born and even snuck into the hospital after hours when he was sick as a baby. It is a little sad to see him growing so fast.

My favorite, I think.

This is Pehn. I have a picture of him from when we were in Kindergarten with that same smile on his face. Lot more facial hair now!!
