Weekend off #2

Well this weekend was another one off for us. Unfortunately, Dawn got stuck opening Honey Baked Ham and as fate would have it, someone called in sick to work and we were stuck there all day. ON OUR DAY OFF!!! We were supposed to be playing games and hanging out at the Pumpkin Patch with our best friends John and Heather. We have been best friends with John ever since we were kids. We met up with them at the Pumpkin Patch where I played with my new camera by taking pictures of their beautiful twin girls Erin and Megan.
By the way, on Friday we all played Scrabble and I won!! Huge surprise since I played with three people that are considerably smarter than I am. Here are the pics of the girls!

Here's Erin

Not identical twins...but gorgeous just the same.

Dawn says this is my Christmas!

Yesterday, we got 2 shipments from UPS. One was Sarah and Paul's proof book and the other was our new camera. A D2xs!! WAHOO!!!

You see here's the thing, we wore out our other cameras, so I have had to send one of our cameras back to Nikon to get serviced. I can't wait to start playing with this thing!

Well, the down side of it is that Dawn says this is my Christmas since it was so expensive! I tried to tell her that it was for the business but that didn't work. Something about "me enjoying it too much". Oh well.

Wow what a weekend!!

We have had some much needed time off and it has been wonderful! We slept in till noon on Saturday then cleaned out our garage. We can now fit both cars in there. Then Dawn and I celebrated our first weekend off with dinner at Mori's Japanese Steakhouse.
Today same sleep schedule as Saturday except this time we cleaned up the inside of the house. It looks so much better! We fixed Italian tonight, then we watched a fantastic movie called "Just Like Heaven". I wasn't sure that Dawn would watch it, what with her weird distaste for Reese Witherspoon and most movies that I want to see. But she liked it. I actually cried at the end. I love sappy movies, I am definitely going to get this one on DVD!

Spectacular Saturday Wedding

We left Valdosta at 7:30 in the morning to head back to Atlanta for our wedding. I gotta tell you, I love Persian weddings. They are so full of life and love between everyone there. We can't post any images from the wedding due to some legal issues but I can assure you that they are wonderful. What a great way to go out for the regular wedding season. Now we enjoy the next 3 weeks with no weddings and lots of sleeping in on Saturdays!!

WWWWAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lisa and Mike

Wahoo! I am almost caught up! Well, Lisa and Mike got married Friday the 6th at First Methodist in Valdosta, Ga. We had a great time with everyone that was in the wedding. I love the weddings where we feel like we have known everyone for our entire lives. Considering that we had to get up at 6:30 the next morning to go back to Atlanta, we still had a hard time saying goodbye when the whole thing was over with.

The girls doin' that makeup thing!

Skip ahead to the Reception(there were lots of good pictures, but I wanted to show off these others). Mike was blindfolded and then had to pick which leg was Lisa's. *Note, the hairy leg in front actually belongs to Lisa's Dad.
I saw these shadows on the wall in the stairway at the church.
More playing around with the shadows!
Lisa hanging out in the doorway.
I love her hair!!!!! And her too!

Check out this light with this awesome girl in it!!!

Katie and Chris

The day started out at the Hair Salon where the girls were getting their hair and make up done. Then it was on to Flint Hill Cottage where Katie and Chris' wedding was going to be. We had this wonderful phone message from them that I wish we could somehow get onto our blog, but I suck at technology. Oh well. We had a great time and then after the wedding, we followed them to The Ritz-Carlton downtown where we took some more pictures in and around the hotel! That was great, running around downtown Atlanta after midnight!!

Enjoy!

Katie and her sister Allison. She told me that she would explain this but she hasn't yet!

Katie and Chris had an evening wedding which was beautiful. However, it meant that there would be no daylit pics so all their pics together were done in the dark. This one was lit with a lawn lamp!! Wahoo!! How about that for creativity!

Here we are downtown in Atlanta after midnight. Chris actually stopped this car to have their picture taken with it. Notice the "Why Hate?" on the dude's sun visors!

Well, we had a wonderful time and a late night, but it was worth it! We decided to drive back home that night so we got back around 6AM. Wow! I love this job though!

Melissa and Josh's Kickass wedding!

Melissa has been patiently waiting for me to post this. I know b/c she e-mailed me about it. So here it is! Dawn and I had been sick with the flu, in fact, I was getting over it as Dawn was suffering the worst of it the day of the wedding. We hated it, because we had been looking forward to it for so long. We had a great time, well Kristen and I did(Dawn was too sick).

Gotta tell you, I love these two and I hope they let me photograph them some more.

This was as Melissa and Josh were leaving the ceremony in a carriage pulled by horses. The horses in the fence were very interested!

Poor Melissa, you just have to trust me sometimes.

Hmm...sexy.

Jessica and Victor

So we're approaching the end of wedding season, we're tired, traveled out, our suitcases are on strike and are cameras are threatening a coup d'etat! At this point we are so glad that we have a couple of open weekends coming up so that we can rest before our winter wedding season starts. I love winter wedding season, it is so laid back and relaxed. Anyway, when we get to this part of the season I always worry that I am going to be so tired that I won't be able to come up with anything that will rock. Somehow or another we still managed to hit a home run with this one. Coming away from a late season wedding with images like we got from Jessica and Victor's wedding inspires one to finish the race!

Jessica and Victor got married in quaint south Georgia town of Moultrie. We piled them into the Caddy and hit the downtown area. It was so hot but worth it, I felt so bad that we were all sweating that I stopped on the way back and got the a drink, or at least I think I did, Victor and I kept going back and forth on who was paying! Oh well, great pictures. The art is always worth the trouble!

I love this image for some reason or another.
The guys!
The girls! Wow!
Again another image that just does something for me.
Love it!

Steps leading to nowhere.

A mexican restaurant that we stopped at, I think we made the owner nervous. I think he kept driving by while we were there.

Not much I can say about this except just ...I don't even know what to say.

The Tuesday "Craig" update!

Ok so here's the story. This was our second wedding in Tennessee in 2 weeks! I found out that Craig is an avid blog reader. Every Tuesday his computer reminds him to check his sisters' blog and ours! This was a lot of fun. We were pretty darn tired being that we had shot a wedding the day before, but this was so laid back and relaxed it was really nice.

I really enjoyed working with Ginny and Craig. I hate that we never were able to work it out ahead of time to get together but I hope that will change in the future. I hope they enjoyed working with us as much as we enjoyed them.
