Happy Birthday, Dawn!!!

Today is Dawn's 29th birthday! She is the most important part of my life. I have seen alot of things in this world and I have met a lot of people, but my life has always led me back to her. I have watched her grow from a "I don't want to go anywhere but Orlando and Tennessee girl" to a true girl of the world. I know that sometimes I take her on some pretty crazy journeys but I am glad that she has the courage to come. I love you more than you will ever know.

Here Amanda, try this...

It's amazing how many flavors of a Ritz Chip they come up with!

Katy and Jason May 5

We started Katy and Jason's wedding off at the rehearsal dinner. It was beautifully decorated and the food was pretty good, too! The wedding itself was in a very small church and the reception was held at the Arts Center. Good job decorating credits goes to Doug Carter and Fran (don't remember your last name). We had a wonderful time at this wedding and I really getting to hang out with Katy and Jason again. I really appreciated all the stuff that Jason told me that day, the boy is a natural tour guide!

A shot from the rehearsal
Katy peeking at me from the window in her house!
Here is her beautiful dress. I loved the lace work in this.
And her flowers.
Not sure who this is, but Dawn just loved the shot.
Katy and Dad right before the ceremony.
The cake. It actually loses something in the picture, it was massive.
The first dance.
I've heard of Pig 'n a blanket, but this...
Jason tearing it up again on guitar. Back in November at Kristin C's wedding, I've got a shot of him doing the same thing.
This is one after we talked Katy's mom into letting us do a few at the house.
In a different room. The Miller's have a beautiful house and I just loved all the colors. Geez, I am so not a guy. :-)
Quick shot outside
This river is right next to what's left of a Grits Mill on Jason's property. I hope I spelled that right, Jason!

Delayed Reaction Part 1

Easter with Erin and Megan, pt.1
Yes, there is more, but we have been so slammed since we did this that I have been unable to get these up. Sorry, Elizabeth. Anyway, I spent Easter Saturday with Erin and Megan, oh and John and Heather, too. We started off with breakfast and then an Easter Egg hunt that some of their friends were having.

The Hostess of the Hunt, sounds almost menacing
"Back again, Camera Man"
Looks like she is going shopping
Michael, their cousin
Another friend
"You can't get me in my protective anti-crazy man seat!!"
"I think he can still see us, Erin", "Don't be silly, Megan, look how stupid he looks, he must be confused!"

ENGAGEMENT SESSION BONANZA!!!!

In 2 weeks, I think I shot more e-sessions than I shot in the 2nd year of our studio. One of the sessions was a bridal and I unfortunately can't show it yet. Since there are so many, I will give a brief glimpse of some of the most awesome couples that I have the privelage of shooting their weddings! I was exhausted after all this, I even shot 3 in one day. Wow!!

"Youh ah one stinky guy!!"

In the absence of images I give you this...

First of all, it had been a very hot day and quite a long one. I guess I got kind of sweaty, ok maybe a bit more than kinda...ok, it was a lot more than kinda. Anyway, I was walking around the reception and I mosied over to the slideshow we had playing at the reception. I love going over there when noone can see me coming and overhearing what people have to say about the images! So I walk up and no one "saw" me coming. The woman in front of me hints at a sniff in the air, takes a quick glance to her right and quickly exits stage left! I thought it was the funniest thing I had seen and I wish I had pictures of her reaction. Needless to say I now am carrying a change of clothes to receptions for those really hot days!

Elizabeth and Chandler

So I headed to Milledgeville last week to start my 2 weeks of engagement sessions. I met Elizabeth and Chandler down there and I had a great time. These guys were up for anything which usually makes for great pictures.

We started out having Chandler trying to break into a trolley. Come to think about it, the simple fact that we didn't get kicked out of the theater, thrown off campus, ticketed for jaywalking or making out in public (not me, them), asked to leave town or just arrested was probably pure luck. Or it could be that they seems to know everyone, I felt like I was walking around with celebrities!

Over the Hill...

I'm like freakin' out!!! We have always set goals for ourselves for they year in the way of how many weddings we would like to shoot and this year we not only achieved that but have pole vaulted past that mark. Our goal this year was to shoot 25-30 weddings with our current pricing structure. Last week we booked #41(hence "Over the Hill") and we still have potential bookings for this year!

A huge THANKS to everyone! We look forward to working our a##es off for you!

The above pic is a shot of the side of my desk with 2 of my most essential tools in keeping my life straight, my Blackberry and my schedule book! The most important thing that keeps my life straight was the beautiful girl that I posted a picture of earlier.

Thanks again for making my dreams come true, everyone!
